About Idea

Consumption habits have not changed at all since the introduction of bottled beverages. We continue to consume these in various ways: from the bottle,from a glass, using a drinking straw, sitted comfortably or on the go. We don't like to carry a glass around as it often does not fit in our pockets and it is breakable. Glasses also need washing after use.

In comes the drinking straw.We like the straw because it is elegant and more enjoyable than drinking directly from the bottle. Still, straws are rarely used. Well, that's because they must be purchased separately, and they are hardly ever sold individually but in packs, so customers are not interested even when the straws are placed conveniently next to the drinks on the shelf.

At the movies, drinks often come with a straw  because it is more comfortable, especially as everyone is concentrating and noone wants to miss parts of the film while they drink.

And this is not the only  case worth mentioning. The straw could make it safe to drink  while driving, cycling,  etc. But only if we did not have to buy it separately and place it into the drink ourselves. The straw, the automatic straw, would already be contained inside the bottle or can when we buy it.

We would not have to think about the cleanliness  of the bottle or can, ie where , how long and in what conditions it had been stored before we  bought it. This aspect is hardly talked about although, from the point of view of hygiene, it is more important than most people think. Drinking straight from the bottle or can that has been gathering dust on the shelf for days poses obvious hazards.

How good it would be if a solution could be found that would make our drinking habits easier and more colourful, that would not expose us to the unhealthy environment outside the bottle or can, an automatic straw  that would pop  straight out when you opened the bottle or can in the usual way.
